Okta Authentication Services Migration

Zip Authentication services are moving to Okta in March of 2025. This is a long running initiative across the business that will improve platform security and UX, reducing the number of user logins.

Whats changing?

Login services and the surrounding security practices are being uplfted and enhanced across the entire Zip platform. SSO benefits to user experience moving around the various Zip services will mean fewer logins needed fo customers.

Why the change?

• Improved Security: Consolidating authorisation services and best practices.
• Improved User Experience: Reducing customer login instances across the various Zip services.

Key dates to remember:

Full Implementation: By Match 2025, staff production pilot is already in effect.

Next steps:

If you have received no communications from Zip around this change, no action should be required. In some instances changes are required to avoid disruption e.g. use of the legacy iFrame checkout or the Login with Zip flow. If unsure, please reach out to our team for an assessment.
