Zip API Gateway URL Migration

As Zip API gateways have evolved to bring them up to date with the latest updated security policies, we have consolidated our services to a single base URL. Legacy endpoints will soon be depreciated and must be updated to avoid outages.

Whats changing?

Zip legacy online API endpoints will be shut down and using the latest endpoint https://api.zip.co/merchant will be required.

Why the change?

• Improved Security: APIs that did not meet Zip minimum security standards were identified and enhanced with existing security mechanisms.
• Consistent and Reliable Integration: Using a single API endpoint across our partner base simplifies support and enhances our ability to make improvements in a scalable fasion.

Key dates to remember:

Full Implementation: TBC, however these endpoints will be fully deprecated before the end of 2025.

Next steps:

If you are on a Zip supported eCommerce platform, no action is required. We will take care of the change. Otherwise, you will need to assess your integration and determine if modifications are necessary on your part by finding the API endpoints you are using for Zip. Anything that is not https://api.zip.co/merchant will need to be replaced. Please reach out to our team for an assessment if unsure.
